All budding designers listen up! Cotton Council International (CCI) along with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is presenting the fifth season of its pan-India fashion design competition ““ Let’s Design.
Let’s Design is India’s premier design competition that aims at nurturing young talent and also promotes the use of cotton fabric. This reality show takes its contestants through a series of challenges to test their creative and technical design skills as well as marketing sensibilities. Organisers hope to see some fabulous designs with the classic fabric.
Contestants have to execute each task within the prescribed time with the resources provided. With each round, the challenges become more difficult and the resources more restrictive. A panel of reputed fashion designers will judge the work.
This season’s theme is the world’s five fashion capitals i.e. New York, London, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Contestants have to interpret their favourite fashion capital in a single garment. In addition to the invaluable experience and national exposure, the winner walks away with Rs10 lakh and some lucrative opportunities FDCI will offer.
It is amazing how a humble design competition has turned into one of India’s biggest fashion design revolutions. This is probably your only chance to shoot to immediate fame.
