What is your idea of Indian bridal attire?

Neha Dhupia:  I like the idea of wearing something easy, not over the top, something that gives a glimpse of a global bride, as opposed to the traditional Indian bride in red. I love pastel colours and for me the bridal attire would be the one, that’s not only easy to carry off but is light on colours too!

What is more important to you fashion or comfort?

Neha Dhupia: I choose comfort over fashion any day. Any attire has to be a blend of both. If it isn’t comfortable, I am not wearing it.

What do you think is most overrated in India as far as bridal fashion is concerned?

Neha Dhupia: Red is definitely an overtly rated colour in bridal. I personally, am not very fond of the colour. I would choose a pastel, easy to wear bridal wear over a red traditional lehenga anyday.

What is your idea of perfect bridal jewellery?

Neha Dhupia: I love uncut, jadau, and kundan jewellery. And ofcourse the solitaires! The bigger the better!

Q. What are the projects that you’re currently working on?

Neha Dhupia: My first Punjabi movie Rangeley’, in which I am starring opposite Jimmy Shergill, is about to be released. Next I am working on Ungli’, which is produced by Karan Johar. A comedy with Viacom is also in pipeline.

Q. What’s the genre in movies that you love working for?

Neha Dhupia: I love doing comedies and romantic comedies, which is why I chose to do Rangeley’ too, it’s a romantic comedy and I am doing one after a long, long time!
