The first series of Bloglicious that kicked off at Poco Loco, where we celebrated the first anniversary of Rhea Gupte’s blog Fuss.co.in saw its continuation with Lavie taking forward the second series of Blogalicious, with a twist.
The task was simple but elegant: create a summer style look centred around a signature Lavie bag. Thus, we selected fifteen eminent fashion bloggers that have created a mark in the blogosphere. The participants were as follows – Aanam Chashmawala of whatwhenwear.in, Amena of Fashionopolis, Ashima of The Fashion Co, Dhruvi Shah of alicewandering.com, Genevieve Marak of Color Me Bold, Priya Adivarekar of Priyaadivarekar.com, Priyanka of The Purplenista, Reeneta Dutta of Glamshutter.com, Renisha Kumar of She rockin them Stilettos, Rhea Gupte of Fuss.co.in, Ritcha of RitchStyles.com, Rohini of Speakingchic, Seeps of That Sassy Girl, Suniti Jham of Modish and Muse, Vidhi Gandhi of stylehighstreet.com.
Judging the fashionistas we had the uber stylish bandwagon of 3 esteemed judges- Shubhika Sharma of Papa Don’t Preach fame, the CEO of the funk/pop brand; Bhavneet Chandok, the Marketing Manager of Accessorize and Manasi Golechha, the PR and Marketing professional.
The contestants joined us for a celebration at Bagzone Palladium where they got better acquainted with each other, new bonds of friendship were forged over fruit champagne and spinach puff pastry tartlets. It may have started out a little slow but the meet picked up it’s pace as the participants mingled amongst themselves and with the judges. The store was abuzz with laughter and the constant ‘click’ of a camera. The fashion bloggers got a chance to talk about their inspiration for the looks they created and it looks like almost everyone decided to include that quintessential splash of red this summer. The looks they compiled were displayed on a the screen; we had everything from striped skater dresses and stilettos to a lazy beach look with yellow strapped flats.
As the evening neared it’s end, group photographs were taken and promises to keep in touch were exchanged along with hugs. Every blogger got to pick a bag that they could now take home using the vouchers, courtesy Lavie. I’ll admit that we watched a little enviously as they scouted the store for something they’d like to ‘tote’ around this season but the event wrapped up nicely with everyone leaving in a cheery mood and a Lavie bag.
The judges did admit that they had a though time shortlisting the entries and after long chats over concalls and carefully interpreting each look. We can now, officially announce the winner rather the “winners” since we have a close tie, we proudly crown Ashima from The Fashion Co and Renisha of She rockin them stilettos fame our ladies in the spotlight bagging vouchers worth Rs.15,000 each.
