And The Grand Finale…

Jazz playing live… you know how we felt, Sabyasachi designs on the ramp….you know how we felt 😀

We felt we were transported to Paris’s famous Fauborg Saint Honore. The ramp got a facelift, literally! Live jazz performance, beautiful chandeliers with dim lights and red seats were all a part of the grand finale by one and only Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The decor definitely complemented the Royal’ theme of the collection.

The maestro of designing and all things creative, Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s collection was remarkable and we’re still trying to come out of the Sabya phase but the genius’s designs left a mark on our minds as well as the fashion industry! We were left speechless and absolutely mesmerised by the collection, as some of the veteran models like Netra Raghunathan, Indrani Dasgupta and others sashayed down the ramp, donning Sabyasachi creations, .

To keep up with Lakme’s Absolute make up colour palette, the designer used shades of reds, golds, rust and browns. The collection included sheer sarees with stripped t-shirt blouses, peplum silhouette blouses, printed  jackets and crop tops to name a few.

The delicate prints with layering definitely gave a whole new form and shape to signature Sabyasachi prints with exceptional detailing on velvet.

Men’s wear included printed and simple sherwanis, jackets and bundgala jackets. The beautiful kali work on velvet dupattas added the extra touch of elegance on all the men’s wear outfits.

We were left drooling over the collection and we wanted to watch more and more of the designer’s magical yet realistic creations.
