We are so glad for the music festivals making a beeline on Indian shores. Catching up on Spring Music Festival in US and wondering when will we have something like this back home! Sunburn in Goa has been dishing out the beach party experience and lately, NH7 Weekender series, has also been lapped up by music enthusiasts. So when Twisted Entertainment in collaboration with Aamby Valley City announced the launch of Enchanted Valley Carnival, an experiential music festival, we were all-ears.
Set in beautiful Lounge Area of Sahara Star hotel, the evening saw Bollywood stars Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez in attendance along-with Promoters and Founders of EVC and CEO of Aamby Valley City and Hotel Sahara Star. Spread over 3 days, 6th, 7th and 8th December 2013, at the Aamby Valley City Festival Arena, it will be all day- long music rendezvous.
They are offering a complete camping experience, wherein you can park yourselves in tents in scenic locales and also indulge in adrenaline pumping adventure sports, while soaking into mellifluous music. Expect a line up of about 60 bands and artistes from across the world. An AV listing all of them actually gave me goose bumps, thinking about how the 4 stages they intend to set up, will be pulsating with musical energy. There would be live acts from the likes of ATB, Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt, Gabriel & Dresden, Chicane and many such who are making the world groove to their beats.
The event will also bring in a vast spectrum of Indian talent ranging from Arjun Vagale, Ankytrixx, Anish Sood, Indian Ocean, Raghu Dixit to Shaa’ir & Func, Dualist Inquiry and Swarathma. Both Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez said they were excited at the prospect of having a chance to soak into a music festival like this. They felt the line up of artistes and add on experiences will set this festival apart.
We have a resolution this year to catch up on as many music festivals as I can, and am definitely marking this one on the calendar. The ticket sales have started and it would be a good idea to give it a try if you are into experimenting with different genres of music and the eclectic line up of artists interests you.
Since our roving fashion eye cant help but scan the sartorial choices, a little bit on the clothes for the evening. Jacqueline Fernandez in her screamingly tight brown leather pants and brown shirt with white hearts shocked me a little. She is usually quite well turned out. This definitely wasn’t one of those dapper appearances. Arjun Kapoor brought out a leather jacket in the sultry Mumbai heat, made me sweat a bit, ofcourse some part of it was also because of his smoldering unmade up good looks.
So if music makes your world go round or if you are simply looking for an innovative idea to hang out with friends, you know where to head this winter!
