Bring On The Fireworks

Festive season is here and if you haven’t already started sprucing up your wardrobes, its time to get going. The quest for ethnic wear took us to Atosa, that held a festive preview of Priyadarshini Rao’s and Jewelry by Nitya Arora.

Priyadarshini’s collection is extremely refreshing and spells comfort from the word go. Wide palazzo pants, flowing tunics and jackets dominate the collection. She lays a lot of emphasis on silhouettes and versatility. The color palate is bright and fun, including sunshine yellows, mint greens, deep reds and bronzes. We particularly loved the pleated tunics and Chikankari wide pants. So if you want your outfit to transition effortlessly from Karua Chauth to Diwali without looking overtly traditional, you may just find an apt piece. Plus the outfits are so free flowing and breezy, that one look and you know you will be floating around with elan.

NItya Arora’s jewelry collection for festive season has been inspired by Eastern Art Deco. Every piece is opulent and would be an ensemble in itself. Nitya believes jewelry will be big this season. She says jewelry gives a third dimension to any outfit. So if you want your clothes to come alive and look vibrant, it’s important to complete the look with right jewelry. She believes the trend for art jewelry came into force 5 years back and is only getting stronger. Her larger than life pieces, tell a story of their own.
