“It was just an out-of-the-blue call. I kept it very quiet,” said Marvie Ann Beck excitedly as she expressed herself to FMW. What is she talking about? The mystery unfolds as she shares with us how she got the opportunity to do hair and make-up for Oscar winning Hilary Swank, while she flew down to India to attend, The Foundation for AIDS Research gala hosted by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
An obvious moment of exhilaration, Marvie shares the anecdotes, “It was such a great honour to do such a big star’s make-up. It was like a dream come true. Not just a star, she is an amazing person. She made me so comfortable and I was able to work peacefully without getting nervous. Also, she herself was enjoying it a lot; she had a lot of fun. Hilary is a very positive and genuine person- if she didn’t like a particular style of make-up, she would say it honestly. She was clear about her likes and dislikes in make-up.”
Marvie Ann Beck gave her a natural look. She used MAC Veluxe Pearl Fusion Shadow in two shades of midnight blue. She used Chanel White Lumiere as the base, which moisturised Hilary’s skin well. For the eyes, Marvie used Big Fatty Lash Mascara by Urban Decay and Lorac creamy eye liner in black. She tinted Hilary’s cheeks with Chanel In Love. For the lips, she opted for a Bobby Brown Liner and MAC lipstick in Light Beige. With simple bouncy blow dry and bangs on her forehead, Hilary was ready to go in just 2 hours!
Marvie gave FMW inside scoops that they were the only people to be allowed in Hilary Swank’s room. As Marvie walked out and saw a galaxy of celebrated stars right there, she didn’t hang around chatting. Instead, she strutted back home with a knowing smile on her face- knowing that her work will do the talking!
