An Opening Preview was hosted by the sisters Trupti Bellad Hermans and Preeti McConkey at their new store in Colaba on Wednesday 27th November where in soe of Mumbais most well known fahsionistas came dressed in vibrant, colourful saris by Trupsel. The sisters have been the “Go To” designers for many young girls looking for their first sari or lehenga as well as their mothers who keep coming back for more. Be it a festive occasion, a family wedding, a cocktail evening or just a personal purchase to add to your collection, Trupsel always has a design that’s perfectly suited to your need and budget.
Their inaugural collection at the Trupsel flagship store comprises of panelled saris, lightly embellished lehengas, drape dresses and floor length anarkalis and occasion wear tunics in feminine silhouettes with intricate detailing in a colour palate ranging from deep vermilion, lush jewel tones, soft pastels to neon brights. Also a newly introduced line of festive wear for girls and boys.
Making heads turn in their Trupsel saris were Queenie Singh, Pria Kataria Puri, Shaheen Abbas, Tara Sharma, Reshma Bombaywala, Amrita Puri, Amrita Kilachand, Parizaad Kolah (with her daughter dressed in a dainty Trupsel outfit too), Shaan Khanna and Ami Patel. Sharmilla Khanna made a style statement in a stunning black & white ensemble by Trupsel. The evening spelth festive fervour and colour as these ladies were the cynosure of all eyes in their saris!
Other guests present were Aishwarya Pathy of the India Design Forum, designer Krsna Mehta, Nicholai Sachdev of Gallery 7 , accessories designer Rina Shah and the Trupsel model Kavita Sachdev.
