As a kid I vividly remember the only two occasions I shopped for was Christmas and Easter. Even today these two occasions to me mean shopping for next six months. While most women may not be aware men usually shop only during festivals like Christmas, Diwali, New year, Dussehra and many others. Joy is in the air and we all wish to look our very best. Unlike women who shop practically daily, men shopping habits are comparatively reserved and comprehensive.
We all at some occasion have been subject to women shopping habits. Window Shopping is the appropriate term to describe it. Where they enter a store select ten outfits, like five, try out 3 and walk out buying none. We men on the other hand know exactly what we want and if we see it on the rack we buy it. Yes we also never bargain!
So we decided to enlighten our readers with the tricks of Mens shopping without burning a hole in your pocket and not regretting what you have purchased.
Stick To Basics: Since you know the next time you may go shopping would be a time not very near from now, we advise you to invest in key essentials that will last you for as many occasions and is not season centric.
Quality Does Matter: While street shopping is the best bargain for women. As they alter their wardrobe essentials every week. We advise men to stand their ground and invest a bit more on quality products that are long lasting.
Select Only One Store: It is always nice to try out different stores to add some variety to your wardrobe. But we suggest you select one store since most mens essentials and basics would be found there. Visiting many stores can cause fatigue and fatigue always leads to making the wrong decision – Women can swear to that 😉
This season I choose to go to Nautica as after much research I found out three prominent elements in this brand which I have always been game for. a) Value for Money b) Great Quality and c) Sensible designing.
When in doubt about what to wear for Christmas FMW suggest stick to classics. While you can see with a few wardrobe essentials we have created varied looks. If you mix and match you can come up with as good as 8-10 different looks. Team it up with a black blazer and voila your are ready for the Christmas Ball.
