Ursula spoke of her inspiration as, “Coming to India in a city that was abstract at the beginning; the taxis, the speed of life, the wonderful light at the queen’s necklace, the first sunset at Chowpatty and Gurgaon, watching street life of a mother and her child, the mystic holiness of the gods and goddesses. Nandi inspired me as the bearer of faith and truth… The Fire God ‘Agni’ as a messenger between humans and gods… ‘Ganpati’ going back to the sea”. The inspirations continued with, “the birds and animals, the festival of colours all brought me to a magical world which was unknown to me before.
