India’s premier fashion extravaganza ““ Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer ’17 ““ took the enthusiastic guests by storm with all the glamour, sizzle and substance it had on offer. In association with Nexa, AIFW Spring Summer collection was focused on introducing the bright, bold and beautiful.

The edition had a carefully curated set of style gurus from across the country that brought to the ramp the uniqueness in their craft. When India’s apex industry body for fashion, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), announced its association with Nexa ““ Maruti Suzuki’s pioneer initiative for premium experience’, it was certain that AIFW Spring Summer ’17 was to see a class-apart show.

Withthe presence of Ashish N Soni and Rajesh Pratap Singh, two of the country’s finest designers, you know that the year is going to be what fashion big-wigs will consider the most sought after. The style experts showcased absolutely captivating collections, keeping the Nexa philosophy intact.

Nexa is at the forefront of bringing in innovation on delivering new experiences to their customers. It is this thought that both designers successfully showcased through their collections. Black’ ruled both designers’ collections, which clearly set the stage afire. Doing complete justice to a collection inspired by Nexa’s bold color palette ““ black, grey and white, the designers proved how powerful can simple be. Here’s a lowdown on what the two ace designers had to offer ““

  • Rajesh Pratap Singh: Layer I Quirk

Long layers and jackets ruled his collection, while checks and sparkle added to the glam quotient of his pieces. Polka dots and stripes made their much needed comeback through the designer’s asymmetrical collection.

  • Ashish N Soni: Dressy I Glamorous

_mg_9781In what seemed to be the perfect match, Ashish’s collection synced with Rajesh’s offerings, with his display of power pants and dressy shirts. What made his collection special was his incorporation of almost 25 years of lessons from his journey as a designer. The strong colors he chose depicted his story of strength.

All in all, AIFW 2017 was clearly a fashion fest that gave a perfect platform to style enthusiasts seeking inspiration from experts in the industry.
