Converse has today become a wardrobe staple. Its comfort and cool quotient combined make it a wardrobe must have, one that blends well with almost anything you wear. To most the converse brings with it an emotional connect that is difficult to part with. Whether a gift or purchased off that first ever pay cheque, every converse owner has a story to tell. This bond with the brand is what Converse All Star celebrated with a little gig at Malad’s Infinity Mall.
Converse has always stood by its values of being more than just a pair of sneakers. On Sunday, in a first of its kind interactive session hosted by the brand, Converse loyalists got the chance to reveal their authentic self and unleash their creativity. Converse fans were encouraged to bring along a pair of their own which graffiti artists on standby would paint, keeping in mind the owners story. And what an experience it was!
The personal touch in the Made by You’ story was probably what made the maximum impact. With over 500 converse loyalists at the venue, the event was more than just an exhibition ““ it was a collection of stories that the humble pair became a crucial element of.
The Converse has been referred by most fashion icons and has also been a regular feature on the red carpet. It seemed just apt therefore to include some celebrity styled converse pairs from musician Anushka Manchanda, RJ Malishka and MTV VJ Ranvijay Singha.
Converse is all about the idea and this blank canvas partially painted by loyalists in Mumbai will soon be taken to cities across the country enabling loyalists to paint the bigger picture.
