Today, FMW gives you a chance to kn ow the designer better with our ‘Manish Malhotra Fact File’

B-town’s favourite designer and stylist began his career as a model! Later on he created some of the best costumes for Urmilla Matondkar’s blockbuster Rangeela, we all remember the cute skirts and the pretty crop tops. It was in 1990 when he began his big bollywood journey and that’s not all! Manish was asked to design clothes for Michael Jackson when he visited India for a Bollywood show. (Yes! Even MJ wanted look like SRK :P)

The designer has styled and designed costumes for almost all the Indian actors and he’s also designed costumes for some of the Hollywood biggies like  Demi Moore, Kylie Minogue, Reese Witherspoon, Karolina Kurkova, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

If you’re wondering who designed the robotic costumes for the famous Rajnikanth starrer ‘Enthiran’ then let me tell you it was none other than Manish Malhotra! He is known to envision a ‘look’ for the character.

So next time when you watch Madhuri’s ghaghra song from YJHD and fall in love with her absolutely stunning ‘ghaghras’,  then remember it didn’t come from Agra, it came via Khar, from Manish Malhotra’s store!
