The glittering world of beauty took center stage at the Cosmoprof India Show on December 7th, as the highly anticipated Awards and Networking ceremony unfolded at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. The premier beauty exhibition in India celebrated outstanding products and services showcased by its exhibitors, bringing glamour and recognition to the forefront.
The Cosmoprof India and Cosmopack India Awards, organized in partnership with the global trend agency BEAUTYSTREAMS, aimed to spotlight the most impactful products and services in the cosmetics market. The emphasis was on innovation, a sustainable approach, and compelling storytelling, shaping the future of beauty.
From a pool of over 150 submitted products, only 5 companies emerged victorious across 5 main categories, spanning beauty suppliers (Cosmopack India) and finished product brands (Cosmoprof India).
An esteemed panel of international experts and industry thought leaders, including names like Biju Kassim, CEO – Beauty, Shoppers Stop (India), and Millie Kendall OBE, CEO, British Beauty Council (UK), lent their expertise to judge the submissions based on trends and consumer behavior.
The evening was not just about accolades; it also featured an exclusive fashion show presenting the collection of Indian designer Vikram Phadnis, the special guest of the soirée. The runway sponsors – ITA – Italian Trade Agency (Platinum Runway Sponsor), Beauty Garage (Runway Sponsor), and Streamline (Hair Sponsor) – added an extra layer of glamour to the event.
A noteworthy addition to the 2023 edition was the unveiling of the Cosmoprof India and Cosmopack India Awards trophy, named “Fluere.” Designed by Aliya Karagayeva, a product design student at Istituto Marangoni Milano, this trophy symbolizes the continuous flow of beauty, excellence, and innovation in the industry. Crafted from PLA – AlfaPro material, a bioplastic composed of natural substances and printed with 3D technology, Fluere stands for Beauty, Elegance, Sustainability, Design, Multiculturalism, and Union.
For the first time, winners of the 2023 awards will have the exceptional opportunity to showcase their products through a dedicated installation at the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2024. One of the prime location for the biggest international beauty community gathering from March 21-24.
