Amrish Arora and Ira Dubey hosted a fun 1920’s inspired party at Flamboyante, a new lounge and restaurant on Thursday 19th December 2013. The Mediterranean vibe set the mood for an extravagant affair with garden lights and all-round black, white, gold and red theme with streamer curtains and vintage posters from a bygone era.
Guests truly got into the Great Gatsby mood at the special photo booth with props from the Twenties : feather boas, feathered head bands, fans, big goggles and hats. Jazz tunes complemented with a live performance by the saxophonist added to the heady mood, as he serenaded groups and got them into the groove.
Ira Dubey truly looked the part of a glamorous diva from the Twenties with a lace gown by Raakesh Agarvwal and headgear from Freanka Dhanak.
Eric Lobo serving up old-school classic cocktails such as the Shirley Temple and Mint Julep with a retro touch in espresso cups, jam-jars and miniature milk bottles, had guests in happy spirits while a lavish dinner laid out by Amrish Arora and his team of chefs, satiated late night hunger pangs. Some of the guest who came dressed in their flapper finery, donning their finest jewellery , feathers and fedoras were Apeksha chopra, Kavita Lakhani, Amrita Raichand, Carol Gracias, Pooja Dadlani and Shyam Iyer, Samir Parikh & Yogeshwari Singh, Gautam Kapoor, Babita Malkani, Lilette Dubey, Mamta Raja amongst many more, as Amrish & Shalini Arora and Ira Dubey played the gracious hosts.
A really fun way to ring in the holiday season with a unique theme, with great food and cocktails in a fabulous new look for Flamboyante.
